This year was pivotal for us — Metis Ventures came to life with our new fund. By uniting the talents of Techone VC, Logo Ventures, and Twozero Ventures, we have strengthened our mission to support daring teams from Eastern Europe and Türkiye. Watching their evolution has been nothing short of inspiring.

Two of our portfolio companies, BluTV and Hazy, have made significant moves and acquired by global leaders Warner Bros. and SAS. These acquisitions, achieved under 3 years, demonstrates the strength of our founding teams and delivered exceptional value for our investors.

This year, we welcomed 9 outstanding teams from Türkiye, Romania, Croatia, and Poland, each tackling complex challenges with innovative, vertically focused solutions. Among them are Carbon Centrum, InkiTech, Evercopy, Wamo and Vectroid with 4 more to be revealed soon.

Our portfolio continues to attract global investors who share our vision. From Goodwater Capital and Soma Capital to EBRD, IFC, DST Global, and HV Capital, our 110 global co-investors across 60 portfolio companies are essential to continue building global success stories.

We are thrilled to have welcomed 3 new team members and expanded our reach to Romania. We are keen believers in “local touch” in early-stage investing and our team will continue expanding into Eastern Europe in 2025. Metis Welcomes: Haluk Ziya Tercan & Emirhan Ocak

We are delighted to have Haluk Ziya Tercan and Emirhan Ocak join our graduate program that fosters Metis values and culture.

 Haluk will strengthen our investment team whereas Emirhan will support our investor and portfolio communications. Haluk 'is a bit of a cliché - yet another Bogazici engineer turned into VC. Whereas Emirhan is an avid painter and poet, boosting our team’s creativity.

• Together with Endeavor and Google, we hosted a Tech breakfast during How To Web and a panel by Çağrı from Carbon Centrum and Dan from Creotopy.

• In San Francisco, Sabahat and Haluk joined TechCrunch Disrupt, networking with founders and investors from the Turkish and CEE diaspora.

• Yiğit and Mircea hosted TechAngels dinner in Bucharest.

• Merve joined CNBC-e to discuss Metis Ventures’ augmented investment approach and how we support our portfolio beyond funding.

• Mircea was a speaker at the panel hosted by Brightlabs Incubator, where the discussion focused on the CEE startup ecosystem, its growth.
